Neighborhood Updates

  1. The pool will open on May 27th. The planned repairs have been delayed until the fall due to scheduling issues. If you are concerned about the pool surface, please feel free to wear swim shoes while using the pool. Please check the neighborhood Facebook page for information about pool key replacement.
  2. The HOA is aware of the issue with the retention pond and it is our top priority to resolve. Until there is some resolution, please do not go near the area as the soil is unstable. We have put up a temporary barrier. It is important that residents take this serious and stay away. If you have recommendations for companies that are capable of fully resolving the issue, please email info to Officers(at)oakhillsouth.net.

Ranson & Bailey Road Construction

The LS school district, in association LS Road works and MODOT plan to add a stop light and right turn lane to the intersection of Ranson and Bailey. The HOA has granted a temporary easement for the land, owned by the HOA, along Ranson road. Please note that the construction will not affect any resident’s property along either road. Additionally, LS has agreed to add a crosswalk at the intersection of Country and Bailey so that people can more safely cross the road to the school. The HOA has requested flashing signs as well but that detail is still pending. If there are any further questions or concerns, please email the HOA at officers(at)oakhillsouth.net.

Annual Board Meeting- Spread the Word!

Please join the current OHS board at the administration building of Abundant Life Church on Friday afternoon, March 16, at 5:30 pm. Appetizers will be served and the business portion of the meeting will end promptly by 6:30 pm with time then being allotted for questions as needed. New positions will need filled, so come eager to serve! Keep an eye on facebook over the next two weeks for reminders and specific announcements regarding components of the meeting. Take pride in your neighborhood and join us! See you there.

Handy in fixing things? We need you!

OHS members, our annual meeting is right around the corner (date to be announced asap) and the pool opening will be shortly after that. Our pool house and grounds need some attention. Options to fix them include the following: 1. Get a team together to have a work day and fix what we can for free.
2. Hire someone in our neighborhood.
3. Hire outside help.
NEEDS/WANTS PRIOR TO OPENING THIS YEAR include:
1. Non-slip bathroom floors
2. Masonry work around the pool edge
3. Tile work around the baby pool
4. Some patching/painting where the old fence met the pool house
5. Dry wall in the bathrooms
6. Possibly, replace the posts on the overhang, as they are rusted and rotting on the bases
Please respond if you have a skill and would be willing to help. It’s “go time” on these items to keep up our neighborhood. If we have enough people, we’ll set a date to work at our annual meeting. THANK YOU!
ANDREW GIBB

Board Meeting Tuesday Night at 7:00

Members, we will be holding a board meeting on Tuesday night, August 8, at 7:00. As of now, we are planning on meeting at the pool, but check the neighborhood facebook site Tuesday afternoon in case of a changed location. You may wish to bring a chair. Two topics to be discussed will include details of the restrictions revisions committee, along with gathering some names of helpers for pool house upkeeps. If you have an interest in serving or assisting in either of these areas, or you can recommend someone else who might, we hope you will attend this meeting! These will be the first two topics, then the board of directors will continue with others for the latter half of the meeting, for which you may choose to stay or leave. See you Tuesday!

Committee Needed to Update OHS Restrictions

OHS residents, our neighborhood restrictions are those that were instituted during the development of our subdivision and are in need of being updated. If you would be interested in in serving on this committee, please email the HOA to notify us of your interest and for inquiries. For the interest of all, know that any changes will require 2/3 of member votes to be in approval with at least 25% of the neighborhood members casting a vote. More information to come in the near future.
