*REMINDER* Annual OHS HOA Meeting, Monday, February 23rd at 6:00 pm
Date & Time: Mark your calendars for Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:00 pm. Please be sure to RSVP to the invitation on the OHS HOA Facebook Group, if able, so we can get an approximate head count.
Location: We’ll hosting the annual meeting in the community room at the Mid-Continent Public Library East LS branch (2240 SE Blue Parkway).
📢 HOA Annual Dues Vote — Please Read
We’re asking homeowners to vote YES on the proposed annual dues adjustment to $600 per year ($50/month). This recommendation was made after carefully reviewing our community’s current and future needs. Your dues help ensure we can responsibly maintain and improve our neighborhood. The proposed amount will support:
• Emergency/Reserve Savings — Our HOA currently has no reserve funds for unexpected repairs or emergencies. Building a reserve is essential for the financial health of our community.
• Pond Loan Payoff — We are actively paying down the pond loan, which is currently accruing interest at 8%. Increasing dues helps shorten the repayment period thus reducing long-term costs to the neighborhood.
• Neighborhood Upgrades — Proposed improvements include expansion of pool area for more picnic tables, a sunshade for the pool, updated entrance signage, and enhancements to our common green space and pool area.
• Rising Service Costs — Lawn care, pool & pond maintenance, and related supplies have all increased in cost, as many of you have experienced in your own households.

Its that time of year again! Progress is in the air as we gear up for our Annual HOA Meeting! The Oak Hill South HOA board encourages everyone to join us for community updates, engaging questions and discussions, budget review, and future plans and initiatives, followed by a vote for open board positions and increasing yearly assessment dues to $600. Here are the details you’ll need:
Date & Time: Mark your calendars for Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:00 pm. Please be sure to RSVP to the invitation on the OHS HOA Facebook Group [LINK], if able, so we can get an approximate head count.
Location: The annual meeting will be held in the Community Room at the Mid-Continent Public Library East LS branch (2240 SE Blue Parkway).
Board Update: We need your help to keep Oak Hill South wonderful! You have a chance to make a positive impact by joining the Oak Hill South Homeowners Association (OHS HOA) Board. TWO positions will be open at the February meeting:
- President
- Vice President
These are volunteer positions, and we’re looking for community members who are passionate about contributing to the continued growth and success of Oak Hill South. If you’re interested in serving on the Board, or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at officers(at)oakhillsouth.net.
Discussion Highlights:
- A Year in Review: The board will take a brief moment and share insights into what we’ve accomplished over the past year.
- Community Committees: We are severely lacking interest for committees that share in the responsibility of caring for our community. This is your chance to get involved, share ideas, and play a role in making a positive impact for others.
- Voting on Yearly Assessment Increase: We will be voting on a dues increase. Rising costs of operation and unplanned repairs to the pond have resulted in a budget deficit. This needs to be corrected immediately to rebuild our reserve/capital funds for future expenses.
The Board’s proposal after forecasting budget trends and debts is to increase yearly assessment dues to $600.
We will collect votes during the meeting and present the results. THIS WILL GO INTO AFFECT FOR 2026 DUES AND ON. Please make it a priority to join in person.

Location: We’ll hosting the annual meeting in party room of Johnny’s Tavern located at 1660 SE Blue Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO.
Pizza Perfection: We believe in the power of good food to bring people together. That’s why we’re providing a pizza spread during the meeting. Come hungry, leave happy, and enjoy your fellow neighbor’s company.
Board Update: We’re thrilled to share that all HOA board positions are currently filled and going strong. A huge appreciation shout-out to our dedicated board members for their hard work and commitment to the community. With everyone in place, there won’t be any elections this year – a testament to the fantastic team we have!

Annual Board Meeting- Spread the Word!
Please join the current OHS board at the administration building of Abundant Life Church on Friday afternoon, March 16, at 5:30 pm. Appetizers will be served and the business portion of the meeting will end promptly by 6:30 pm with time then being allotted for questions as needed. New positions will need filled, so come eager to serve! Keep an eye on facebook over the next two weeks for reminders and specific announcements regarding components of the meeting. Take pride in your neighborhood and join us! See you there.
Board Meeting Tuesday Night at 7:00
Members, we will be holding a board meeting on Tuesday night, August 8, at 7:00. As of now, we are planning on meeting at the pool, but check the neighborhood facebook site Tuesday afternoon in case of a changed location. You may wish to bring a chair. Two topics to be discussed will include details of the restrictions revisions committee, along with gathering some names of helpers for pool house upkeeps. If you have an interest in serving or assisting in either of these areas, or you can recommend someone else who might, we hope you will attend this meeting! These will be the first two topics, then the board of directors will continue with others for the latter half of the meeting, for which you may choose to stay or leave. See you Tuesday!
