Its that time of year again! Excitement is in the air as we gear up for our much-anticipated Annual HOA Meeting! The Oak Hill South HOA board encourages everyone to join us for community updates, engaging questions and discussions, budget review, and future plans and initiatives. Here are the details you’ll need:

Date, Time, & Location: Mark your calendars for Monday, February 19, 2024 at 6:30 pm. Please be sure to RSVP to the invitation on the OHS HOA Facebook Group, if able, so we can get an approximate head count.

Location: We’ll hosting the annual meeting in party room of Johnny’s Tavern located at 1660 SE Blue Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO.

Pizza Perfection: We believe in the power of good food to bring people together. That’s why we’re providing a pizza spread during the meeting. Come hungry, leave happy, and enjoy your fellow neighbor’s company.

Board Update: We’re thrilled to share that all HOA board positions are currently filled and going strong. A huge appreciation shout-out to our dedicated board members for their hard work and commitment to the community. With everyone in place, there won’t be any elections this year – a testament to the fantastic team we have!

Discussion Highlights:

1. A Year in Review: The board will take a brief moment and share insights into what we’ve accomplished over the past year.
2. Upcoming Projects and Initiatives: Be a part of the discussion concerning the exciting projects and initiatives planned for the next HOA year. Your input, enthusiasm, and volunteerism are crucial in shaping the goals and direction of the community!
3. Community Committees: We’re exploring the idea of reigniting committees to spread the excitement (and responsibility) of caring for our community. This is your chance to get involved, share ideas, and play a role in making a positive impact for others.

Join the Conversation: Your presence and participation matter! Come prepared to share your thoughts, ideas, and perhaps even volunteer for a committee. This meeting is not just about updates; it’s an opportunity for us to collaborate and strengthen our community spirit.

Please join the current OHS board at the administration building of Abundant Life Church on Friday afternoon, March 16, at 5:30 pm. Appetizers will be served and the business portion of the meeting will end promptly by 6:30 pm with time then being allotted for questions as needed. New positions will need filled, so come eager to serve! Keep an eye on facebook over the next two weeks for reminders and specific announcements regarding components of the meeting. Take pride in your neighborhood and join us! See you there.

Members, we will be holding a board meeting on Tuesday night, August 8, at 7:00. As of now, we are planning on meeting at the pool, but check the neighborhood facebook site Tuesday afternoon in case of a changed location. You may wish to bring a chair. Two topics to be discussed will include details of the restrictions revisions committee, along with gathering some names of helpers for pool house upkeeps. If you have an interest in serving or assisting in either of these areas, or you can recommend someone else who might, we hope you will attend this meeting! These will be the first two topics, then the board of directors will continue with others for the latter half of the meeting, for which you may choose to stay or leave. See you Tuesday!

We will be discussing neighborhood improvements, we will elect a new board and need volunteers for all committees (pool, social, web, pond, and bylaws.)

Neighbors! Save the Date for the 2017 Oak Hill South Homeowners Meeting on Saturday March 18th at 10am at the Abundant Life Church (old Building). Lots of great updates will be shared about things done to improve our neighborhood in the last year. Also, we are looking to fill all positions except President of the board. All current members have served the for the last two years. We have lots of new neighbors and this is a great opportunity to get involved and meet your neighbors. Also, please be on the lookout in the next couple weeks for the dues invoice for 2017. Dues need to be paid no later than April 1. Let us know if you have questions and looking forward to a big turn out on 3/18!

Our annual HOA meeting will be held this Saturday, 2/20 at Abundant Life Church, from 10a-11:30a. 414 SW Persels Rd, Room 4 and 5. We have a full agenda, which includes voting for a new Board, a review of last year including a treasury review, plans for 2016 and guest speakers from City Council.  Please plan on attending so we can ensure OHS continues to be a great place to live!
